The ReThink Brighton project has been put into hibernation.
Having been very involved in the joyful, wonderful, painful and disastrous Transition Brighton & Hove project, part of the Transition Towns Network, and in the Transition Movement generally, I played a lead role in quietly trying to build a solid framework for the birth of a new local movement deeply inspired by the Transition Towns model. We made some decent early progress, but holding a core team of committed, capable and collaborative activists together is a big task, and we couldn’t maintain it long enough to get off the ground, despite plenty of interest.
